My boss told me one of the reasons she wanted to interview me was because I knew how to tell a story through branding. I appreciate that she saw my efforts. I love telling stories, especially through a brand identity.

As a designer, I am often asked to reverse-engineer a brand by creating rules for it, even though it has been established for years. SRS is one of those brands. I took the assets already there—colors, font, etc.—and built upon them to create a holistic view of the brand based mainly on the website. 

I asked myself several questions: What is SRS? Who joins SRS? How should SRS speak to its current and potential members? The answers helped me create rules for what I felt were the significant components of SRS as a brand: history, logo, colors, typography, audience and voice and tone. The back of the PDF showcases previous website layouts and web ads to display how all these pieces fit the puzzle that is the SRS brand.
